The Story Behind

Hi, I’m the solo dev behind WayPointPlay. Games have been my "waypoint" through the darkest times—helping me navigate depression and teaching me that even when you lose a life, you can always hit Restart. I started WayPointPlay because I want my games to be a way point for others, just as they were for me. This is my first game, I called it Highway La! because i couldn't come up with a better name other than this (lol!). 

The Gameplay

This is a 3D endless runner, with a twist of Malaysia flavour.

• Goal: Cross the road quickly. Don't get hit by a car and if you're slow, your mak might catch up to you and give you a good old smacking. 
• Future Updates: I have scheduled the opening scene, mak-chasing animation, power-ups, special vehicles and replace of all assets with more polish, Malaysia-soul voxel arts. All the updates mentioned here will be free, and I love to hear from you what I can add to the future updates! 

Updates

Updated v1.01: Made some bug fixes where if you go back too much, the game ended without "Game Over" screen. Another bug that cause immediate moving when you restart a level. Nothing too big, but might be cooking something big :))

The Disclosure 

This is the very Version 1. It’s unpolished, the voxels are a mix of my own shaky hands and free assets, and the code was built with AI assistance to help me get this dream out of my head and onto your screen.

I want this to be as pure "Made in Malaysia" as possible, to tell our own people that we can make fun and great game too! And to the rest of the world, I hope you enjoy this little game and see a part of my lovely country through my eye!
